Here’s what it means for EnergyX.

Like everyone, we’ve been closely following the changing landscape as the COVID-19 situation has evolved over the last few weeks. We’ve followed the recommendations of our Public Health experts and our teams in Toronto and Halifax are all working from home. 

Working remotely is a challenging feat in and of itself, but the uncertainty this crisis has created in the business community can seem insurmountable. We’ve watched with heavy hearts as colleagues in our sector have had no choice but to reduce operations, often letting go of employees in the process. Over the last several days we’ve been faced with these same decisions. 

Now, more than ever, we are committed to the global energy transition. We believe fully in the importance of energy efficiency, and the work that our partners are doing to advance the goals of digitization, decentralization and decarbonization. Most importantly, we believe fully in the team that we’ve built at EnergyX. 

To that end, we’ve committed to keeping our team whole and to navigating these waters together. 

This is not a decision we make lightly. We know that unpredictability of this scale can be fatal for many businesses, especially those like ours — a start-up in high growth mode. We also know that the best way for us to continue supporting our utility partners and their customers is to maintain the team that makes it all possible. A team that stays together, succeeds together. We’re proud that our company is in a position to make this choice, and our commitment to work toward a clean and equitable future is stronger than ever.
