June 28, 2019 – Halifax, NS – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
Atlantic Canadian businesses that embrace clean technologies open new markets, reduce carbon emissions and create good-paying jobs, while promoting a growing sustainable economy. Dedicated to helping businesses and consumers improve their energy efficiency with its proprietary software energy solutions, Toronto-based EnergyX Solutions Inc. is expanding its presence in Atlantic Canada and the eastern United States.
EnergyX Solutions’ software technology determines how a building is using energy and identifies ways it can improve its overall performance. The end result is less energy consumption, fewer greenhouse gas emissions and cost savings for businesses and home owners. The Government of Canada is supporting EnergyX Solutions as it establishes a business development and customer support team in Halifax. This builds on the progress the company has made in regional Canadian markets and will help it expand its customer base in the US. The project will create up to six highly skilled, full-time jobs in Halifax.
Today, Andy Fillmore, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism and Member of Parliament for Halifax, announced the Government of Canada’s support for EnergyX Solutions Inc. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
Economic growth and the creation of good jobs for Atlantic Canadians require innovation and diversification. Support for this project is one way the Government of Canada is working to help businesses scale-up, increase productivity and participate in the innovation economy. Projects like this also contribute to the Atlantic Growth Strategy outcome of long-term economic prosperity in the region.
